Spring 2026 UK Class News

Spring is on us and the UK class is coming out of hibernation with rumours of some teams out dusting off the cobwebs already.

Events coming up

18ft Skiff Invitational @ Weston Sailing Club

The weekend of the 18th-19th April sees the first class gathering of 2026. The weekend will follow the format of on the water traiing sessions, short course racing and plenty of off the water tuning and tweaking over beers and BBQ.

We are excited for the future at Weston Sailing Club with 2-3 skiffs being based there for 2026 re-inforcing the solent as one of the main UK hubs for 18ft skiff sailing.

Anyone interested in the class is welcome to swing by to learn more. We will likely be on the water between 11am and 4pm but at the club from 9 till late.

German Eurocup @ Ammersee

End of April sees the first european event. There will be 2 teams from the UK making the trip so watch out for news and photos on the event in the coming weeks.

New Sponsors for 2026

With a few boats changing hands over the winter we will be excited to anounce some new sponsors joining the fleet in the coming days. You dont need a sponsor to run an 18ft Skiff but it is great to the see the class being recognised by new brands as a poster child of UK dinghy sailing.

UK Events for 2026

We apologise for the slight delay in posting the UK event calendar for 2026. We are working to firm up the event dates and venues shortly including an event at Calshot and a new to the class UK South Coast venue.

We are also looking to get ahead on the 2027 events and get them locked in before the summer.
