British Teams @ Christian Fries 18FT Skiff Grand Prix
Christian Fries 18ft Skiff Grand Prix hosted by Diessner Sailing Club, Lake Amersee Germany hosted the first round of the European 18ft Skiff circuit over the 30th April-3rd May with 2 UK teams making the trip out to join the action. Lake Ammersee just outside Munich with the Alps as a spectacular backdrop is renowned as a relatively light wind venue but mother nature had a few surprises up her sleeve this time with teams arriving the day before to pretty full on conditions

18FT Skiff Invitational @ Weston Sailing Club
An exciting start to the 2026 season for the UK 18 Footers with an invitational at Weston Sailing Club on the weekend of April 18/19. A chance for teams to dust off the winter cobwebs and get some training and tuning time ahead of the first European event in Ammersee Germany at the end of month. Spring 2026 UK Class News
Spring is on us and the UK class is coming out of hibernation with rumours of some teams out dusting off the cobwebs already. Events coming up 18ft Skiff Invitational @ Weston Sailing Club The weekend of the 18th-19th April sees the first class gathering of 2026. The weekend will follow the format of on the water traiing sessions, short course racing and plenty of off the water tuning and tweaking over beers and BBQ. Joining the UK 18ft Skiff Class. A newcomers perspective.
A steep learning curve but worth every minute! For years we had watched the 18's on Sydney harbour, seen glamorous images of 18's racing on iconic Lake Garda and even admired pictures from closer to home in the UK.
